The weather here has been absolutely amazing for a Minnesota March. It's been cloudy, but the temperatures have been in the 50s-60s!! It's spring?
After a very busy weekend, I found a little time to craft last night. I had these adorable little spring stamps I was anxious to use.
And this Stitched Film Strip die?
I cut the die twice. Once in an A2 sized piece of Gina K Pure Luxury white and again in a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Bright Lagoon.
I used the Bright Lagoon outer die to trace the inner squares onto another piece of Bristol paper. Using the pencil guides to see the windows, I carefully masked off and used Versafine to stamp each of the individual birdies that are in the trio stamp into those squares. I then erased my pencil lines, and used my Zig Clean Color markers to color the birds and the faint background.
I then lined up and attached my white frame over the birds and trimmed it to fit within my Bright Lagoon card front. I used Brutus Monroe embossing ink to stamp the sentiment and heat embossed with Filagree white embossing powder, and glued my card front together and attached to a white card base.
It was nice to have a little crafty respite. I haven't had a lot of free time to get in my craft room and just play.
We worked so hard all weekend moving things out of our bedroom and closet to get ready for some fresh paint and new carpet. The things we were finding??? Oh my Gosh!! We pretended we were on the show Hoarders and ruthlessly went through the stuff in our closet. The clothes we were hanging on to "in the hopes we fit in them again someday"???
If we ever get to those sizes again? We will CELEBRATE and treat ourselves to some new ones!
I took SO much stuff to Goodwill. My poor car!
We had both back rows of seats down and it was FULL.
And it felt SO freeing to get rid of it.
I need to do that in my craft room. I NEED to. Soon.
